Nick M. Patel, Esq.
Mr. Patel is an attorney focused on the areas of corporate law and real estate transactions. Formerly Mr. Patel served as a founding board member and Vice President of eHealth, Inc. (ticker symbol EHTH on Nasdaq, current Market Capitalization is approx. $325M), the largest online health insurance agency in the United States. Mr. Patel was with eHealth since its inception and originally joined as General Counsel and Director of Business Development. During his tenure with eHealth, Mr. Patel co-invented the Electronic Processing Interchange process utilizing electronic signatures in health insurance applications which is currently pending a patent.
Previously, a partner with the law firm of JD Associates, PLC practicing in government contracting, technology transfers, and commercial litigation. Additionally, Mr. Patel has held positions as General Counsel of AFTT, Inc. and with U.S. Senator John McCain's office in Washington, D.C. Mr. Patel also has a technology background, having worked as a software project manager specializing in hotel accounting systems for Data Plus, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as Director of Systems for The Dawson Companies, Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ, the owner of the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
Mr. Patel earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Arizona State University and has been a member of the Arizona State Bar since 1993. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine graduating with Cum Laude honors.
Mr. Patel serves his community by volunteering at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley hospital, being a Community Advisor to young adults aging out of foster care, and serving at Christ Church of the Valley. Mr. Patel travels extensively throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, fluent in Gujarati, a language of India.
